In Mexico and Across Latin America: BYD’s SeaLion 07 EV Launch & Yangwang U9 Debut
2025/01/17During the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship held in Mexico from January 10th to 11th, 2025, BYD made a splash with the launch of the new midsize pure electric SUV, the BYD Sea Lion 07EV, and the debut of the Yangwang U9 electric supercar in Latin America. At the event, BYD held large-scale media test drive activities. Jorge Vallejo, the Passenger Car Sales Director of BYD Mexico Branch, delivered a welcome speech, sharing the company's outlook for the new year. He said that BYD will continue to introduce more new models to meet the diverse vehicle needs of local consumers and emphasized that "We will continue to innovate and provide a diversified portfolio of new energy products to help Mexican consumers achieve green travel".

Grab and BYD Enter Strategic Partnership to Expand Electric Vehicle Fleet in Southeast Asia
2025/01/16Singapore, January 15, 2025 - Grab, the leading super app in Southeast Asia, and BYD, the world's leading new energy vehicle manufacturer, have announced a regional partnership to expand access to up to 50,000 BYD electric vehicles (EVs) to Grab's driver-partners across Southeast Asia. The partnership spans Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and covers a range of models including the Denza D9, BYD Atto 3, BYD Seal and BYD M6 cars. Grab intends for Denza, the premium electric vehicle brand from BYD, to become the cornerstone of its GrabExec fleet featuring the Denza D9 luxury seven-seater electric MPVs. By integrating the Denza D9 into its fleet, Grab aims to set a new standard in executive transportation, anchored on convenience, style, and sustainability.

2025/01/08In December 2024, 10,091 BYD vehicles were registered in Brazil, ranking 8th in sales, bringing BYD’s registration volume in Brazil to 76,713 vehicles for the entire year, an increase of 327.68% from 17,937 vehicles in 2023. Brazil has become BYD’s largest overseas market. BYD’s models sold in Brazil include compact vehicles, SUVs, and pickup trucks. Currently, the BYD Dolphin Latin America Special Edition is the best-selling electric car in Brazil, with the BYD Dolphin Plus and BYD Dolphin Diamond versions launched there in October 2023, priced at 179,800 Brazilian Real (34,900 USD) and 149,800 Brazilian Real (29,000 USD), respectively. The BYD Dolphin recently also earned five stars in the Latin NCAP crash and safety test, becoming the safest car in Latin America.
