Top 20 exported vehicles from China in H1 2025, BYD Song Plus was first, up 184% YoY
China exported 3.083 million vehicles in the first half of 2025, up 10.4% year-on-year. Recently, the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) revealed that the BYD Song Plus was the most exported vehicle in the first half of 2025. Among the top 20 most exported models, gasoline-powered vehicles still dominate, while only nine new energy vehicles (NEVs) made the list.

In particular, 1.06 million NEVs were exported, including 670,000 BEVs and 390,000 PHEVs, a year-on-year increase of 40.2% and 210%, respectively. 1.011 million units were also passenger vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 71.3%.
BYD Song Plus topped the list with 134,105 vehicles exported, a year-on-year surge of 184.0% or an increase of 86,882 vehicles compared with the same period last year. Its ranking also jumped from 11th last year to 1st this year.
At the same time, the BYD Sealion 07 EV made it on the top 20 list for the first time, ranking tenth with 49,706 units exported, also overtook the Tesla Model Y, which exported 42,543 units.
The list shows that China's automobile exports are gradually transforming from being dominated by fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles, and domestic brands such as BYD continue to make breakthroughs in the global market with their product strength.
