YDG Launches Exclusive Accessories for BYD Atto 1: Practical Designs Optimize Southeast Asian User Experience
As the BYD Atto 1 (Indonesian-version Seagull) made its debut at the GIIAS International Auto Show in Jakarta, automotive accessories brand YDG simultaneously unveiled a range of practical accessories tailored specifically for this model. These products focus on high-frequency usage scenarios for Southeast Asian users, targeting and resolving daily pain points in vehicle use.
YDG’s newly launched accessories primarily cover three functional categories: storage upgrades, full-enclosure protection, and driving optimization. Among them, the center console lower storage box adopts a compartmentalized design to effectively organize scattered items; door handle bowl covers and rear trunk protection guard cover wear-prone edges of doors and trunks, precisely fitting the vehicle’s curved contours. The design reserves anchor point openings to retain original vehicle functions, emphasizing strong practicality. Meanwhile, the water-resistant rear trunk mat specifically addresses Indonesia’s 180-day annual rainy season, preventing leakage during cargo handling. All accessories feature a matte black finish, aligning with the original vehicle’s interior style.
Targeted localization adaptation is the core of YDG’s R&D philosophy. To suit Southeast Asia’s hot and rainy climate, silicone cup holders and steering wheel trims are temperature-resistant up to 120°C, avoiding deformation from prolonged sun exposure. Thickened mudguards offer enhanced mud and water resistance. All accessories adopt a snap-fit structure, allowing users to install them within 5 minutes without professional tools. YDG conducted on-site scanning of the Atto 1’s cabin space data in Indonesia, ensuring rear trunk protection guard edge tolerances are controlled within 0.5 millimeters—maintaining sealing performance without interfering with original vehicle sensors. In material selection, YDG balances practicality and lightweight design: the skid plate guard uses aluminum-magnesium alloy, reducing weight compared to traditional steel while enhancing protection strength.
Deeply complementary to the vehicle’s features, YDG’s R&D closely aligns with the Atto 1’s product characteristics. Addressing the limited storage space in entry-level models, the center console lower storage box improves utilization through compartmentalization. For the original plastic door sills prone to scratches, ABS carbon fiber pattern coating on protective covers enhances scratch resistance. As Atto 1 deliveries begin in August, YDG plans to further deepen its development of Atto 1 accessories. The brand emphasizes: “We don’t create flashy decorations—only solutions to real driving problems.” Visually, the accessories integrate seamlessly with the original vehicle, embodying a “function-first” philosophy.
