The Changan Deepal G318 is a range-extender 4x4 designed for long-distance overlanding rather than the school run. Maremlyn's G318 accessory program answers that brief with six bolt-on parts: a five-piece skid plate set, an aluminium roof cargo platform, a 75/95/110 L roof equipment box, a single-side climbing ladder, a sealed side storage pack and an ABS front mesh grille.

Every part mounts on the vehicle's own 1:1 OEM points. No drilling, no trimming, no cutting of the bodywork.

Why a range-extender 4x4 needs its own accessory logic

A G318 carries two energy systems. The battery pack, the fuel tank, the high-voltage harness, and the front and rear drive motors all sit low between the axles — exactly the surfaces that meet rock, gravel and washboard first when a trip leaves the tarmac.

At the same time, the cabin is already spoken for. Overlanding payload has to go up and out, not inside.

That is the split the Maremlyn line follows: protection below the sill, capacity above the roofline. The six parts are not a styling package. They map onto the two places where a G318 owner actually runs out of capability.

The underbody comes first

The skid plate set is the core of the program: five plates covering the front motor, the rear motor, the fuel tank, the harness and the battery — a single kit with product code ML-037-W1053.62, sold as 5 pcs per set.

Two material grades are offered on the same tooling.

• Aluminium-magnesium — the lighter option, chosen for corrosion resistance on salted winter roads and coastal markets.
• Manganese steel — the harder option, for buyers who expect direct impacts from rock and staged obstacles.

The design details matter more than the marketing line. A moulded direction indicator shows the fitter which way each plate faces. Ribbed sections carry load across the panel instead of into the bolt holes. Vent slots preserve airflow where the original underbody had it. And every plate reuses an existing factory hole, which keeps the installation reversible — a point that matters to lease holders and to distributors handling warranty questions.

The roof becomes a cargo deck

Above the roofline, the logic runs platform first, box second, ladder third.

The roof cargo platform uses a 1.2 / 3 mm reinforced aluminium panel in matte black, with modular rails so a box, a light bar or a recovery board can be added later without changing the base. Its job is to distribute load across the factory roof structure rather than concentrating it on a few points.

The roof equipment box comes in 75 L, 95 L and 110 L. On a range-extender vehicle that usually means water, fuel and camp kit ride outside the cabin, leaving the boot for sleeping gear.

The single-side climbing ladder is what makes the whole arrangement usable. It bolts to the sill, uses reinforced welded joints and an anti-rust, scratch-resistant coating, and is styled to follow the original body line rather than sit on top of it.

Two smaller parts that remove daily friction

The side storage pack hangs on the rear quarter in manganese steel with a sealed, waterproof shell. Recovery straps, gloves, tools and a compressor live outside the cabin, where mud and water stay.

The front mesh grille is a three-piece ABS set that guards the radiator against bugs, leaves and debris on dirt roads — the cheapest part in the range, and often the first one a new G318 owner buys.

Fitment notes for distributors

Before quoting, confirm three things with the customer:

1. Generation — the line is developed for the current-generation G318, not earlier chassis.
2. Drive side — LHD and RHD are both supported.
3. Suspension — cars with air suspension are covered; confirm the trim before shipping.

All six parts install on factory points with hand tools and a torque wrench. Nothing is welded, nothing is drilled, and the original panels stay intact.

One vehicle line, six SKUs

For an importer, the commercial argument is narrower than the product list: one vehicle line, one supplier, one container.
