Installation Steps (as demonstrated in the official video)

Step 1 — Cut and apply the sponge strip

Cut the sponge strip to match the length of the back edge of the box, then paste it firmly along that edge. This cushions the box and prevents rattling and vibration during driving.

Step 2 — Attach the back plane

Place the back plane on the box. Two screw lengths are used here:

• The top two positions use the long hex screws.
• The bottom two positions use the shorter hex screws.

Tighten all four screws so the back plane sits flush and stable.

Step 3 — Protect the roof rack contact surface

Apply a sponge pad to the contact surface of each mounting bracket. This step prevents the bracket from scratching the original car luggage (roof) rack.

Step 4 — Install the first bracket

Install the first bracket onto the roof rack, positioning it as close to the rear of the car as possible. Starting from the rear gives you maximum adjustment room later.

Step 5 — Test-fit and check door clearance

Compare the bracket position and adjust it so the box, once mounted, does not block the door when opened. Dry-fit the box here — this check is what separates a clean install from an annoying one.

Step 6 — Install the second bracket

Install the second bracket and align both brackets evenly on the rack so the box will sit level.

Step 7 — Mount the box and adjust position

Place the box onto the brackets and slide it into the position you confirmed in Step 5.

Step 8 — Install the screws

Once the location is confirmed, install the screws to fix the box securely to the brackets.

Step 9 — Lock all screws after adjustment

After the final position check, lock all screws firmly. Give every fixing point a second pass — this is the step that keeps the box rock-solid at highway speed.

Step 10 — Install the buckles and finish

Install the two buckles of the box to cinch it tight, then put the label on. Installation complete.
 

 

Pro Tips for a Clean Install

1. Pre-assemble on the ground — attach the sponge strip, back plane and sponge pads before climbing onto the roof.
2. Position toward the rear first — starting with the bracket as close to the rear of the car as possible gives you room to slide the box forward for door clearance.
3. Never skip the sponge pads — they are what protect your original roof rack from scratches.
4. Two people make it easier — one lifts, one aligns; it takes roughly 15–20 minutes in total.
5. Re-torque after your first drive — vibration can loosen fixings; check all screws after the first trip.
