Preparation before you start
- Park on a flat surface and switch the vehicle off.
- Check whether your iCAR V27 has a roof radar unit. If it does not, fit the supplied cover piece; if it does, leave that area clear.
- Lay out the four power connectors, the cable clips, the double-sided tape and the rubber strip.
- Keep a towel, scissors or a screwdriver, and adhesive aid within reach.
Step-by-step installation
- Confirm the radar situation and fit the cover piece only if no radar is present.
- Connect the power cord — there are four connectors in total; work from far to near.
- Fix and organize the wires using the cable clips.
- Peel back the 3–5 cm double-sided tape on the spotlight.
- Clean the bonding area with a towel and apply adhesive aid where glue is required.
- Install the spotlights, adjust the position, then peel off the tape and press firmly by hand.
- Trim the rubber strip to length with screws or scissors.
- Wrap the tape around the spotlight power cord and cut off the excess at the right point.
- Route the wiring — wrap the skid board in a towel, pry the baffle up slightly, plug the power cord inside, and press the cover back by hand.
- Apply adhesive aid to the remaining bonding points.
- Fix the rubber strip by peeling its double-sided tape.
- Make the electrical connection — open the battery cover, connect the red wire to the positive terminal and the black wire to the screw beside it.
- Test the lights immediately after connecting.
- Finish up — refit the battery cover, tidy any excess wiring, and secure everything with the pressure belt.
Installation tips
- Never skip the adhesive-aid step; it is what keeps the bonding points secure over time.
- Always test the wiring before closing up covers and trim.
- Clean and dry the roof surface first — dust is the main cause of tape lifting.
