This marks the official Philippine debut of both models, previewing their full launch in the local market later this year.
Atto 2: Compact Urban EV for Everyday Mobility
The BYD Atto 2 is positioned as an entry-level compact pure-electric SUV, tailored for urban commuters and small families. Designed with a focus on practicality, efficiency, and modern aesthetics, it slots below the popular Atto 3 in BYD’s Philippine lineup.
Key highlights of the Atto 2 preview include:
- Dimensions: 4,310mm (length) × 1,830mm (width) × 1,675mm (height), with a 2,620mm wheelbase for spacious interior packaging.
- Powertrain & Range: Expected to be offered in Dynamic and Premium variants. The Dynamic variant features a 95-hp electric motor and a 32kWh LFP Blade Battery (280km range), while the Premium variant delivers 177 hp, 290 Nm of torque, and a 45kWh battery (380km range).
- Urban-Centric Features: LED lighting, a minimalist digital cockpit, and fast-charging capability, making it ideal for Manila’s busy streets.
Sealion 7: Premium Performance EV SUV
The BYD Sealion 7 represents BYD’s entry into the premium pure-electric SUV segment in the Philippines, blending high performance, advanced technology, and luxury appointments.
Key preview details for the Sealion 7:
- Performance: Equipped with dual electric motors and an 82.6kWh LFP Blade Battery, delivering 523 hp and 690 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 215 km/h.
- All-Wheel Drive: Standard AWD configuration for enhanced traction and stability across various road conditions.
- Premium Tech & Comfort: Aerodynamic SUV coupe design, a tech-forward cabin with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
