BYD Thailand delivers 100,000th new energy vehicle
On October 16, 2025, BYD Auto (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and its official partner, Rever Automotive Co., Ltd., held a delivery ceremony in Bangkok, marking the official delivery of BYD's 100,000th new energy vehicle for the Thai market. Mr. Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD's Asia-Pacific Automotive Sales Division, officially handed over the 100,000th new energy vehicle, the Song PLUS DM-i, to Mr. Korn Dabbaransi, President of the Thai-Chinese Friendship Association. This ceremony marks not only another important milestone for BYD's entry into the Thai market, but also a vivid testimony to the profound friendship between China and Thailand, celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Automotive Sales Division, said in his speech: "The delivery of the 100,000th new energy vehicle in Thailand, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, not only symbolizes the high recognition of BYD by Thai consumers, but also vividly demonstrates the integration, symbiosis and mutual benefit between China and Thailand in various aspects of economy, culture and life. This achievement also reflects that environmental protection is becoming an increasingly important consideration for Thai consumers when buying cars. The Song PLUS DM-i, a milestone model for this delivery, has rolled off the production line and officially been delivered at BYD's local factory in Thailand. As a premium plug-in hybrid SUV, the BYD Song PLUS DM-i is equipped with the advanced DM-i Super Hybrid system, offering exceptional fuel efficiency and performance. It currently ranks first in registrations in the Thai PHEV segment.
BYD's Thailand plant, a key vehicle production base in Southeast Asia, not only meets local market demand but also undertakes export missions. The smooth operation of this project has significantly boosted the development of Thailand's new energy vehicle industry chain, created numerous local jobs, and demonstrated BYD's commitment to deepening its local presence overseas.
