LONDON, UK – November 7, 2025 – BYD has officially launched the SEAL 6 DM-i plug-in hybrid in the UK, introducing both saloon and estate (Touring) versions to expand its European lineup. The models combine advanced plug-in hybrid technology with practical design, offering a competitive alternative in the green vehicle market .

Powertrain and Performance: Both saloon and Touring models feature a 1.5L plug-in hybrid system (DM-i technology). The saloon delivers up to 87 miles (140 km) of electric-only range in urban settings, with a total range exceeding 900 miles when combined with the petrol engine. The Touring version offers up to 81 miles (130 km) of electric range and a total range of approximately 840 miles .

Charging and Efficiency: The entry-level Boost trim includes a 3.3kW onboard charger, while the Comfort trim upgrades to a 6.6kW charger for faster AC charging. DC rapid charging support (up to 26kW) allows the battery to recharge from 15% to 80% in 23 minutes .
