TASHKENT, UZBEKISTAN – November 3, 2025 – At the 2025 Tashkent International Auto Show, BYD showcased a diverse lineup of eight new energy vehicles, highlighting its latest breakthroughs in electrification and intelligent technology. The exhibition, held at the Central Asia Expo Center (CAEx), featured everything from hatchbacks to mid-to-large SUVs and MPVs, with a strong emphasis on localized innovations tailored to the Uzbek market.

New Launches and Global Debuts

  • Newly Market-Ready Models: The BYD SEAL 6 (Qin L), BYD SEALION 7 (Sealion 07 EV), and the locally adapted BYD SONG PLUS UzPride made their official debut in Uzbekistan.

  • World First: The BYD YUAN UP DM-i, a plug-in hybrid version of the popular Yuan UP, was unveiled globally for the first time, signaling BYD’s focus on expanding its hybrid offerings in the region.

  • Expanded Portfolio: Other notable displays included the BYD ATTO 8 (Tang L), BYD M9, BYD SEAGULL, and the visionary Yi Si Fang concept car, drawing significant attention from attendees.

Localized Innovations and Strategic Partnerships

  • Uzbek-Language Voice Assistant: In a pioneering move, BYD announced the integration of the world’s first Uzbek-language voice assistant across its entire model range in Uzbekistan. This AI-powered system understands local commands and learns user preferences, such as frequently visited routes or climate control settings.

  • Strategic Collaborations: BYD has partnered with local industry leaders like UzTelecom and Yandex Uzbekistan to advance the development of a smart, green mobility ecosystem.

  • Deepening Local Ties: The SON PLUS UzPride, already in local production, exemplifies BYD’s commitment to local manufacturing. The model features parts like bumpers, glass, and seats made in Uzbekistan, reducing costs and increasing accessibility.

Growth and Future Roadmap

Uzbekistan is a strategic market for BYD in Central Asia. The company recently celebrated the delivery of its 40,000th vehicle in the country and operates a growing network of 11 service centers under its ElectriCare brand, covering major regions from Tashkent to Termez.

Looking ahead, BYD plans to introduce its premium brand, DENZA, to Uzbekistan in 2026. This will further diversify its brand portfolio and cater to the premium vehicle segment.
