Time: 2026-02-02 Hits: 0

Global new energy vehicle (NEV) leader BYD has announced its strategic roadmap for the South Korean market, targeting annual sales exceeding 10,000 units by 2026. To achieve this goal, the company plans to introduce at least three new models within the year, significantly expanding its local lineup.

The planned launches are set to include the popular BYD DOLPHIN hatchback, a Seal rear-wheel-drive variant, and a new model equipped with the latest-generation DM-i hybrid technology. This diverse portfolio is designed to cater to a wide range of Korean consumer preferences, from urban compact EVs to performance-oriented and highly efficient hybrid vehicles.

This acceleration of BYD's product offensive comes at a time when South Korea is witnessing rapid growth in EV adoption, supported by government initiatives and expanding charging infrastructure. BYD's expansion, highlighted by the introduction of its latest DM-i super hybrid system, is expected to provide strong new options for consumers and invigorate market competition.

BYD's global sales momentum continues to strengthen, with its NEVs recognized worldwide for innovation and quality. The upcoming launches in Korea represent a tailored approach, bringing globally successful models and cutting-edge powertrain technology to meet specific local demands.

Detailed specifications, pricing, and official launch dates for the BYD DOLPHINSeal RWD variant, and the new DM-i model will be announced through BYD's official local channels in the coming months.
