BYD Accelerates European Expansion with New Factory and Extensive Retail Network
BYD, a global leader in new energy vehicles, is deepening its localization strategy in Europe with significant investments in production and retail infrastructure. The company’s upcoming manufacturing facility in Hungary is set to commence operations by the end of 2025, with the first model to be produced being the BYD Seagull, which recently achieved a five-star 2025 Euro NCAP safety rating.
In parallel, BYD plans to establish a comprehensive retail presence across Europe, aiming to open more than 2,000 stores by the end of 2026. As part of this expansion, Germany will see the launch of 120 sales and service outlets by the end of 2025. The Hungary factory represents a key milestone in BYD’s global strategy, enabling the company to strengthen its supply chain responsiveness and reduce delivery times for European customers. The BYD Seagull, a compact all-electric vehicle designed for urban mobility, combines advanced technology with rigorous safety standards, making it an ideal choice for environmentally conscious consumers.
