Tools & Kit Contents
The Maremlyn kit includes the aluminum platform, model-specific steel mounting brackets, M8 stainless bolts + washers, EPDM rubber gaskets. You'll also need a 13mm socket, torque wrench, step stool, microfiber cloth, and isopropyl alcohol.
Installation Steps
Prep the roof — Park on level ground. Clean factory roof rails with isopropyl alcohol. Remove rail end caps to expose the inner-channel mounting points.
Place rubber gaskets — Position the EPDM gaskets onto each mounting point. They protect the factory rail finish and eliminate vibration noise at highway speed.
Mount the brackets — Fit each bracket onto the rail at the designated positions (4–6 anchor points). Hand-tighten only — leave room for adjustment.
Lift the platform on — With a helper, lift the platform onto the brackets. Center it front-to-back and side-to-side. The aerodynamic front fairing must face forward.
Bolt it down loosely — Insert M8 bolts with spring washers and flat washers through the platform into the bracket threads. Start from center brackets, work outward. Keep everything finger-tight.
Check alignment — Confirm the platform is centered, the panoramic sunroof opens fully without contact, and the tailgate clears the rear edge.
Torque to spec — Tighten all bolts to 22 Nm (16 ft-lbs) in a crisscross pattern: center first, then front, then rear. Re-check every bolt after the first pass.
Snap end caps back — Reinstall the factory rail end caps over the brackets.
Test drive — Push firmly on the platform from all angles to verify zero movement. Drive at low speed, then highway speed, listening for abnormal wind noise. Re-torque all bolts after the first 100 km.
