Step-by-Step Installation
- Open and secure the hood with the original support rod.
- Locate the OEM holes — brackets align 1:1 with factory mounting points on both sides.
- Fit the brackets loosely with the included gaskets, leaving room to align before tightening.
- Clip on the struts — press each ball socket onto the bracket stud until it clicks, then secure the bonnet-side end.
- Tighten and test — close the hood fully a few times; it should rise smoothly, hold open, and close gently with end damping.
Tip: always install struts as a pair to keep the hood balanced. Once confirmed working, the manual rod can be removed or kept as a backup.
